Rodda Yates - CEO
Yates is a 1989 graduate of Boerne High School. She then went on to Tarleton State University and received a bachelors degree in Accounting in 1993. Rodda began her career in insurance working for State Farm from 1993-1994 and Farmers from 1994-2004. In 2004, Rodda became an independent agent and opened her own agency. She now successfully operates insurance offices in Boerne and San Antonio, TX. Rodda also has a supportive family including her father and three children. Rodda recently married to Chad Warren and now has 3 step children. Rodda is a devoted member of several organizations including the Texas Junior Livestock Association, Texas Deer Association, BISD, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, and serves on the board at Comfort ISD.
Rodney & Sherri Yates
Rodney and Sherri Yates have been involved with Yates & Associates since 1997. Mr. Yates opened the first grocery store in Boerne, TX called Poor Boy Incorporated. In 1966 Mr. Yates spent his time with livestock and other agriculture projects then begin his career in insurance in 1976. Sherri Yates graduated from Shriner University in Shriner, TX with a Bacherlors in Accounting. Mrs. Yates spent her professional career working at Kerville Accounting Firm, Davis Stewart. Heather was raised in NE Oklahoma and met her husband, Rick, while they were both attending college. They've been married over 20 years and have 3 children, Josie, Brady, and Allison. Heather began at Yates and Associates as a Customer Service Representative. She recently acquired her Personal Lines Property and Casualty insurance license. She is a great addition to our Property and Casualty team.. Heather and her family have lived in Boerne for 7 years and are active with church, school activities, and the Kendall County Stock show. Outside of work Heather enjoys family time and spoiling her new granddaughter, Hattie.
Rand Racey - Commercial Service Manager
Rand Racey was raised in Notheast Oregon where he grew up on the family cattle ranch. He attended high school in Baker City and then went on to attend Boise State University until he accepted a management position with Albertson's where he was a Store Director for 17 years. He has 8 years of experience in financial services and insurance and is now working with commercial accounts at Yates and Associates and very excited to be back living in Texas.
Scott Brickey - Commercial Account Assistant
Born in Germany, however raised in San Antonio, Texas. Graduated from John Hay High School. Soon after joined the United States Navy. Serving 20 years combined Navy/Naval Reserve, retiring from the Reserves in 2008. He has been in the South Texas insurance industry since 1998, working in Small to Large Group Health with a local San Antonio Broker and Individual Health products with Humana Insurance Company until 2017. Joining Yates & Associates in April 2018, expanding his knowledge base to include Commercial Property & Casualty.
A local resident in Boerne since 1998, Scott and his wife Abby enjoy dining out, concerts and the South Texas coast whenever possible. He has two daughters, Charlotte, a freshman attending UTSA and Savannah, a freshman at Boerne High School.
Chuck Upshaw - Commercial Account Manager
Chuck first learned the ins and outs of small business operations at an early age working for his father who owned a successful heavy equipment rental business in San Antonio.
From there Chuck ventured into B-2-B sales in the software and communications industries in Austin and San Antonio.
A series of unexpected events landed him in the insurance business in 2013, when he began marketing group life and health insurance for a local broker. Since then he has moved into commercial property and casualty insurance.
Calling Boerne, TX, his home since early 2009, Chuck is an occasional photographer, sometime musician and freelances as a social media content copywriter.
Elizabeth Grahmann - Admin Assistant
Elizabeth Grahmann is originally from Fredericksburg, Texas where she graduated high school in 2002. She attended school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and graduated with honors in 2007 with a Bachelors in Fine Art. Elizabeth moved to Boerne in 2011 with her Husband where they currently live. She has many years’ experience as an Insurance Administrative Assistant. Elizabeth enjoys trips to the lake with her husband and friends.
Rudy Ramirez - Executive Account Manager
Born In San Antonio, Rudy graduated from Central Catholic Marianist High School in 1988 before studying Information Technology at U.T.S.A. Rudy began his insurance career as a Workers Comp adjuster at Wausau where he met his wife of 24 years. They have 23 year old twins who are attending college and establishing their own careers. Rudy has continued his insurance career concentrating on business insurance at USAA, Marsh, SWBC and Frost Insurance before joining Yates and Associates. He has earned his CISR professional designation from the National Alliance and is currently working on his CIC designation with an estimated completion date of December 2019.
Francine Garcia - Personal Lines Account Manager
Francine Garcia is our Personal Lines Account manager. She is licensed both in Property and Casualty and Life Health and Accident insurance. Francine graduated from the University of Sam of Houston State August of 2011, earning her degree in criminal justice. She then started her career as an insurance agent 6 years ago. She found her interest in educating others on how anyone can protect their families from the unplanned, unexpected life events. Francine identifies our clients life events and customizes products to meet their needs. She is a former member of the Northside Chamber of Commerce. Francine is a San Antonio native and enjoys family time and relaxing at the beautiful Guadalupe River.
Larry has almost fifty years of experience as a small business owner, most of which has been in the real estate and insurance industries, with a focus on sales, sales training, sales management and consulting.
