Rodda Yates-Warren – Owner
Yates is a 1989 graduate of Boerne High School. She then went on to Tarleton State University and received a bachelors degree in Accounting in 1993. Rodda began her career in insurance working for State Farm from 1993-1994 and Farmers from 1994-2004. In 2004, Rodda became an independent agent and opened her own agency. She now successfully operates insurance offices in Boerne and San Antonio, TX. Rodda also has a supportive family including her father and three children. Rodda recently married to Chad Warren and now has 3 step children. Rodda is a devoted member of several organizations including the Texas Junior Livestock Association, Texas Deer Association, BISD, Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, and serves on the board at Comfort ISD.
Rodney & Sherri Yates - Owner
Rodney and Sherri Yates have been involved with Yates & Associates since 1997. Mr. Yates opened the first grocery store in Boerne, TX called Poor Boy Incorporated. In 1966 Mr. Yates spent his time with livestock and other agriculture projects then begin his career in insurance in 1976. Sherri Yates graduated from Shriner University in Shriner, TX with a Bacherlors in Accounting. Mrs. Yates spent her professional career working at Kerville Accounting Firm, Davis Stewart. Rand Racey - Commercial Service Manager
Rand Racey was raised in Notheast Oregon where he grew up on the family cattle ranch. He attended high school in Baker City and then went on to attend Boise State University until he accepted a management position with Albertson's where he was a Store Director for 17 years. He has 8 years of experience in financial services and insurance and is now working with commercial accounts at Yates and Associates and very excited to be back living in Texas.
Cheryl Geissler – Commercial Account Executive
Cheryl Geissler is our Account Executive who manages our Agribusiness and Farm and Ranch business in the office. She has an extensive background in both Insurance and Agribusiness. Before starting here at Yates & Associates she has worked in marketing, management and agency ownership and brings 40 years of insurance experience with her. She has been around and lived in the farm and ranch environment for over 25 years and loves everything about ranching, cattle work and hunting. Cheryl takes pride in what she does and works to make sure the coverage you obtain is not only the best coverage; but also, with the best market she can find to place you. In Cheryl’s free time she enjoys attending farm and ranch related activities such as trade shows and ranch rodeos and even western swing music events.
Jennifer Schuchardt - Commercial Account Manager
Jennifer was raised in Amarillo, Texas and met her husband, Nathan. They moved back to his hometown of Boerne, Texas and have two daughters, Lily and Daisy. Jennifer comes to us with over 14 years of insurance experience, both personal lines and commercial lines. Jennifer has her degree in Business Administration and found her knitch in insurance many years ago. She enjoys helping others learning about their options and providing them with exceptional coverage and service.
Heather Turnbill - Personal Lines Account Manager
Heather was raised in NE Oklahoma and met her husband, Rick, while they were both attending college. They've been married over 20 years and have 3 children, Josie, Brady, and Allison. Heather began at Yates and Associates as a Customer Service Representative. She recently acquired her Personal Lines Property and Casualty insurance license. She is a great addition to our Property and Casualty team.. Heather and her family have lived in Boerne for 7 years and are active with church, school activities, and the Kendall County Stock show. Outside of work Heather enjoys family time and spoiling her new granddaughter, Hattie.
Frances Hernandez – Personal Account Manager
Frances Hernandez is our Personal Lines Account Manager. She is licensed both in Property and Casualty and Life, Accident, Health and HMO. She grew up in Comfort, TX where she graduated high school. She started her career as in insurance agent in 2007 and later joined Yates & Associates in March 2018. She has one son, Jacob and enjoys spending time at the lake with her family and her husband, Bryan.
Tammy Voss – Field Agent
Raised in a farm/ranching family in West Texas, Tammy grew up around livestock and cotton farms. After raising her daughter, she decided to dive into the insurance side of agriculture. Tammy now lives in Lubbock, Texas and brings over 30 years’ experience in the sheep/goat barn to the table. She enjoys visiting with her clients about what they want and exemplifies her motto… “If it’s important to YOU, it’s important to ME!” Having helped run a family business, Tammy understand the critical attention to detail and the big picture essential in success in the business world.
Chuck Upshaw - Commercial Account Manager
Chuck first learned the ins and outs of small business operations at an early age working for his father who owned a successful heavy equipment rental business in San Antonio.
From there Chuck ventured into B-2-B sales in the software and communications industries in Austin and San Antonio.
A series of unexpected events landed him in the insurance business in 2013, when he began marketing group life and health insurance for a local broker. Since then he has moved into commercial property and casualty insurance.
Calling Boerne, TX, his home since early 2009, Chuck is an occasional photographer, sometime musician and freelances as a social media content copywriter.
Larry has almost fifty years of experience as a small business owner, most of which has been in the real estate and insurance industries, with a focus on sales, sales training, sales management and consulting. He understands and has experienced the tough demands on today's business owner...managing cash flow, coping with a growing workload, attracting and retaining productive employees, developing effective sales and marketing strategies, just to name a few.
